Attention Retailers and Microbusiness Licensees

On and after March 1, 2025, a retailer, or microbusiness with listed retail activities, shall display this brochure, including printed copies, at the point of sale or final delivery in person and online at time of online purchases, and offer each new consumer a copy of the brochure. What does this mean for your business? You need to go to the California DCC website and download the brochure. There you will find a color version as well as a black and white version. Next, you need to display it by the POS in your shop. If you deliver your products, your customers need to get one. It also requires you give one to any "new" customers which we think may be kind of tricky. Anyway, it defines a new customer this way: "Individuals are considered a new consumer if it’s their first time purchasing at your store."   Wait for your renewal window to open You can renew your license starting 60 calendar days before it expires.  When the renewal window opens, an automated email will be sent to the email address on record for the licensee’s designated responsible party (DRP). Review and update your information Make sure all your information in the DCC licensing system is up-to-date. Check that your documents are current. Ownership and financial interest holder verification is required at the time of renewal. If changes have occurred, please use this form: Notification and Request to Modify a License Form (DCC-LIC-027).
